Update:
Max ran a perfect course the 2nd day and got another qualifying leg!
He got a Max
completed his Novice Jumpers (NAJ) title the following month at the
Malamute trial in Livermore, CA. |

Mom says I have to drink

come back tomorrow? Yay!
8:15 am - Look at all the
dogs here - do I know what
I'm doing?
8:16 am - Oh God, he's
going nuts.
8:30 am - Gotta go figure
out how to check in...
9:00 am - Walk dog
9:15 am - Find people we
know and move to their tent
9:30 am - Go watch other
rings and worry
10:00 am - Walk dog again
- I hope he's getting
exhausted so he'll behave in
the ring.
10:30 am - Back to
stressing out
11:00 am - Let dog have
some off-leash time running
around with friend's dog.
Please let him get tired.
11:30 am - Watch other
dogs ringside with dog -
what was I thinking signing
up for this???
12:00 pm - Dog plays with
friend's boyfriend, rolls in
grass, enjoys relaxing under
tent. Please let him get tired.
12:30 pm - Boyfriend arrives
to cheer us on. Am I coming
down with the flu?
1:00 pm - They're building
our course - uh oh, I'm
actually going to have to do
something at this trial.
1:30 pm - Walking course.
I'm going to puke. Why is
boyfriend taking pictures of
me walking around in circles
on the course?
2:00 pm - I'm going to puke.
I'm going to hurl. No one is
Q'ing on the course.
2:05 pm - I'm out of breath
and I haven't even RUN yet!
2:08 pm - Set dog up at
start line.
2:09 pm - Let's go - we'll
give it our best!
2:09:30 pm - OH MY GOD -
I have best dog ever! A
qualifying run!
3:00 pm - 1st place in our
class with a perfect score of
100 points - wooooo!!!!!!!
3:05 pm - Oh God, we have
to go through all this again
tomorrow!
